At UC Merced, graduate education for students interested in history is conducted through the Interdisciplinary Humanities graduate group. This program allows students to gain expertise in history as a discipline while also teaching them how history is situated as one part of the larger field of inquiry of the humanities. All of the UC Merced history faculty may serve as advisors to IH graduate students, and regularly offer seminars through the IH program.
